I've had a pm from Shelley. She now has a marriage certificate for Lily Alice Whitmore and Ernest Reginald Butler. From that she has found Lily's father's name; but can't find him in the census records.

Information regarding Ernest Reginald Butler born c1899, married 1920 to Lily Alice Whitmore. Ernest was my grandfather and was also the golfer Henry Cotton's caddie. I can't find his birth or death details (although I think he was born in London), so would be grateful for any info on him or Lily Alice.
