I think I've found a new hairdresser :-D

She's really nice, took time to fiddle with my hair, asking me what I wanted.... suggested a few things.

Most important.... I'm happy with the haircut....... but I have to wait and see what it does when I next shampoo it and try to get it into a decent style/shape.


A new one for me........... she had her two dogs in the salon!

One came up to me immediately....... the other one was shy, I was told she isn't a people person... it took her two minutes after I sat down to come and say hello. :-D


And......... Himself was home at 11.15 lol

Do you know the look a dog gets, when it knows it's done something wrong? That's the face my DH had last night. He must have apologised 100 times.

His stupid 'phone....... at 9 this morning, my two messages yesterday still hadn't got to his 'phone! :-P

At 9.10 this morning, 'phone call from hairdresser, there's a cancellation at noon! YAY! I told her I'd call DH, and if she didn't hear from me by 10am, I would be there at noon. I 'phoned DH and got him (another YAY)... he SAID he'd be home by 11.30.

Watch this space.

DH is out, doing something (I don't ask) with a friend.

He was supposed to be home by 12.50 to take me to the hairdresser for a 1.00 appointment.

It's now 1.25

Where is he?

I've left two messages on his 'phone............ where are you?........... don't bother, I'll make another appointment.



I hope he's OK, not done something daft.

Where was he? He got "caught up"... whatever that means.


I'm over thinking that something may have happened to him.......... now I'm just P!ssed Off!

I hate hairdressers!
I had a student hairdresser for 2 years - then she qualified and moved on.
My hair grows fast, and within 2 years, my short hair was a French plait turned under.
I still haven't had the nerve to find another hairdresser, but my sister and I got drunk (quite a bit) on holiday last year, and one time, my sister cut over 2ft off my hair.

At the moment, I just visit her a lot, with a sharp pair of scissors (payback time for when she gave me a 'mullett' in the 70's)

Back from the physio. Ouch Ouch Ouch. That was a workout!

Sylvia... I have very curly hair, prone to frizz, especially in the humid weather we have this month. My hair is also very thick (my baldy brother says I stole his hair genes).

If I don't get it cut at least every 6 weeks, it can look like a fright wig.

I don't like it too short.... the curl seems to get curlier, and I don't want to look like I remember some of my grannies' friends..... with the too tight Toni home perm! :-0

the standard here between cuts is 4-6 weeks ............. 6 weeks is when most hairdressers tell you to get the next cut/trim, unless you are keeping it very short when it's 4 weeks.

Geez, I hope not........ my hair needs cutting every 6 weeks! It grows really fast... on a quiet night you can hear it.

I went to my hairdresser for over 15 years, then she had a row with the new owner of the shop and moved to the other side of town.

OK, she could handle my hair, which is very fine and most hairdressers do not know how to cut it. So, I decided to follow her.

It took 2 or 3 buses from my house to get to where she was working. After 3 or 4 visits that way, OH offered to drive me there on a Sunday, about 20-25 minutes each We did that for about 2 years, then I got fed up with the hassle.

It took me almost a year to get up the courage to try another hairdresser in my neighbourhood, and only after several friends said they went there. By that time my hair, which had been short and layered, had grown long enough to put into a French pleat :-( (along with lots of hair pins and hair spray!!!)

I had my 3rd visit to the new hairdresser last week ........ we're getting there!

My hairdresser has been cutting my hair since I was 5 and I am now 31. Due to poor health my hairdresser is temporarily unable to continue cutting hair. Though he plans to return to work it won't be till well after my hair needs cut again leaving me in the position of having to find someone else on at the moment a temporary basis.

Last time I had to find another hairdresser for a one off six months ago the conversation went like this.

Hairdresser " your hair is all different lengths I don't know why" me "my hair is layered and I would like to keep the layers. All I want is have it shortened a bit and the weight taken out of it however it curls up naturally so not too short please." Hairdresser " So how often do you dye your hair?" Me " Never I'm lucky my hair hasn't started going grey yet." Hairdresser " No I don't think I've found many grey hairs yet but if you want it dyed...."

Cue the baldy cut all to one length though thankfully no dye used and the offer of a second appointment later if I want it dyed. :-(

Strangely enough I never went back and at the moment I still have no grey hairs. My mother was around 35 when her hair started going grey and whilst no guarantees I hope that I too will have another few years before I need to think about dying it.

Mine had the cheek to retire after I had been with him for 8 years or more.
To be honest, I can´t blame him. He is 70 & his wife had just been diagnosed with leukemia.
He was a good hairdresser though. :-) :-) :-)

I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with a new hairdresser.

It's the only time she has open until the week starting 29 Feb........ I guess that's a good sign???

I also have a physiotherapist appointment in the morning.

I hope the day won't be filled with painful experiences.


And....... if my hair turns out awful, it's too hot to wear a hat!




The hairdresser is two doors down from a pub............ I hope I won't feel like drowning my sorrows.

You train them up and then they disappear. No consideration.

I lost mine 3 years ago and have had to do the training again. My present hairdresser is getting there. Have an appointment today.

You have my sympathy. It's so nice to walk in and know when you walk out you'll look better and have the hairstyle you want not what they want to do.
