I think it's a canny move. Leave Boris out and you could be storing up a load of trouble. Nothing worse than a discontented even bitter rival on the loose, next thing you know he could have joined UKIP and caused no end of a commotion! Far better to give him an important job to keep him both busy and contented. He won't be conducting any of the Brexit negotiations, but Mrs May will know exactly where he is and the whats more important what he's doing!

Whilst I voted to leave the EU, I think the MPs who wanted to remain would be the ones best suited to trying to get the best deals for Britain as we exit.

My theory is she knows he's going to cock up and will have to resign, then she can say she gave him a chance. He has a long list of apologies to make.
