It's now 12.45pm Friday

I think I fell asleep sometime after 5.30am.... and woke up at 11.45am

I feel like my head is stuffed with soggy sponges, and my neck hurts!

I might to back to bed & rest for a couple of hours, not sleep, because that would make tonight even worse!

I fell asleep last night at 3.25 am and woke again at 4.15am
so had nearly one hours sleep in total

Still strimmed Strays gardens
front, corner, side and back
Then mowed them to for her
and cut her massive hedge
Then mowed my own grass
So its early night for me tonight

sometimes I go two nights without any sleep at all
:-( :-( :-(

I too have nights when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, sometimes it is the sciatica in the leg, other times there is no reason. I always wake for the loo once but usually manage to go straight back to sleep. I hate lying there and not sleeping. The light early mornings are the worst.

LS ..........

I hope you finally got some sleep

it could be something to do with getting older :-(

I went through a phase when I was around 60 of doing what you're doing .......... either not being able to fall asleep, or waking up around 2 am and lying there for 2 or 3 hours, or waking up about 4 am and not going back to sleep. There were even a couple of nights when I didn't go to sleep at all ........... I played solitaire on the computer all night :-(

I now have 1 night every week or 10 days where I don't go to sleep for several hours ......... last night was "the" night for this week :-(

It've always been a deep sleeper, you could march a bagpipe band through the house and I wouldn't move! I have slept through a cyclone and two earthquakes!

Over the last few months I've been waking up in the middle of the night, and can't get back to sleep........ recently I can't get to sleep at all when I go to bed; it's driving me crazy. I'll have to get some sleep, because we're going out tomorrow night (sorry, that's now tonight)... Himself usually gets up around 6am, I'll leave a note for him to take the 'phone off the hook!

It's not Himself that's keeping me awake, he's been in the spare bedroom for months, he's still scared that he might kick my leg (the one with the 30cm scar!).

It's now 4.40am

I'm like a horse - I could sleep standing up! So could my dad & his dad before him. It's in the genes.

But I'm an early riser too just like my mum; never any need to set the alarm. But it's a devil of a job sometimes to balance both extremities.

It's 2.54am here.

I went to bed at 10.30 last night!

Maybe playing a few boring games on the computer will put me to sleep. I hope I make it to bed, don't want keyboard marks all over my face tomorrow.
