I have just found this website. The reviews are great and I think I will buy the DVD.

Lyons fruit pies. I would kill for an apricot one.

I wonder if this would be useful for people with dementia/alzheimer's?

It might be, Maggie. If you haven't already done so, have a look at Amazon, where it is on sale, and read the reviews. It has been very well received.

Speaking of nostalgia, does any one remember, before Mr Whipee and otherice
cream vans...there was a man rode a bicycle with an ice box on the front
He would stop at street corners and blow a whistle and shout Walls'
Often as not I was skint when he showed.

My uncle had an ice cream parlour in Hartlepool. His father was Italian and they made their own ice cream in a warehouse and before they had the parlour they would push a hand cart around the streets selling ice cream.

When I was looking through Magistrates Court Records for something else I found quite a lot of entries where my uncle was taken to court and fined for blocking the road with his cart. He'd still be out the next day selling his wares.

It was the best ice cream ever and they also introduced "hard" cornets which they also made.

I remember my mother using OMO and Tide!

And remember the Hai Karate advert?! :-D :-D :-D

My mother used to use Oxydol, and we all had Gibbs toothpaste in the flat tins - one colour for each of us.

Flash for floors, in the cardboard box, disappeared much more recently. 1990's?? or maybe even 2000's?

many years ago I used to live not far from Proctor and Gamble soap works and a couple of mile down the road was where they bottled Domestos

I like the smell of Wrights Coal Tar soap

No, David - it wasn't Mark Toni (Toney I think).

It was the Piccadilly Bar in Musgrave Street - the family name was Amerigo.
