I, too, am happy where I am now.

However, when travelling back and forth between Oz and the UK we had a variety of stopovers as we travelled in both directions (through the US and through Asia).

We usually aimed for between five and seven days and the best stopover was Hawaii - the kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had five days there and five days in LA while travelling on a single Oz to UK trip.

Hubby was not with us that time and he missed a treat.

Oz & NZ
Never been. But I have close family near to Sydney. When they come to UK they always book with a stopover of two/three days.
Over the years I think that they have stopped at both Singapore and Hong Kong. Not only does a stopover break the long plane journey, but it splits the total timezone change. So easier on your mind&body.

Lundy? Yes. Get the boat. Day trippers have long enough on land to have a cuppa, walk from one end to the other and back to the pub/hotel for good food and a drink (or two).
And if you expect to see puffins take binoculars and be prepared to lie down at the cliff edge.

Germany

Well we have been there 3 times when ex SIL was stationed there in the 1980s .

Would like to find the area my grandad was born and where his parents came from to be able to visit it and possibly find descendants of the families
