I had to drive through Romford last night, (don't ask) and along the way passed a house completely festooned with fairy lights, from top to bottom, and one side to the other. Are these the earliest Christmas lights of the year, or could it be some other celebration?

I have just looked it up, and it is two months too early for Diwali, the Hindu festival of light.

no, they are considered cool in Havering, Barking, Dagenham, Ilfordm Chadwell Heath, Romford, Redbridge and so on a key part of the summer scene .....

such places as Moulsham and Rayleigh would never have such items but nearby Sarfend goes completely overboard but not until November.

don't ask
suggested movie for Bob so he will understand

Romford is an ideal place to drive through - day or night.

(Now let WWIII commence!).
