We all do daft things when we're in a panic. Don't put yourself down.

It is a good thing I have never pretended to be clever because I would have come unstuck yet again.

For the third time I have shut the seat belt buckle in the door and the latch has jammed. First time I called out breakdown, second time there was a workman next door who did it with a screwdriver. My head is still not quite how it should be and this time I lost it.

I rang the garage who said they could not come out but the choice was to wait until the morning or I could drive to them holding the door closed. I can't pretend it is the first time I have driven a car with the door flapping so I did that and, when I got there, he pulled the door handle which let the latch go.

Had I not been behaving like a hysterical woman I probably could have sussed that out for myself!
