will be at 11am on 11th January, her birthday, so it will be 10pm tonight our time.

I will be raising a glass to Huia then and thought others might like to do the same this evening.

I am sure it will be a moving service as Huia's family and friends celebrate her full and interesting life.

Happy Birthday Huia, reunited with your dear husband, and sister, and all family members gone ahead.

Lots of us didn't know Huia only from her posts but we felt we knew her . She sent me some comforting pm,s about my hubby and his Alzheimer and her experience with her hubby

The lovely thing is on this site we may not meet in the flesh but we meet online and become friends

When a friend passes away it's a big blow . For the family it's a bigger loss but hopefully they will take comfort from the other friends who fell for their loss

Sending much love to her family as they remember a lovely lady

I have my glass of wine ready! Thinking of the gathering there will be, I bet there will be some lovely memories told by Huia's friends that her family won't know of and although sad there will be many smiles and laughs.

I bet, many laughs too, and great admiration of her many talents. Huia was such a giving person, and must have known lots of people. She enjoyed singing with 'her' choir before her husband needed more attention but bravely relinquished her singing to care for him for a long time. I think they broke the mould when she was born.
