Well done to the doctors at Aberdeen who were persistent with their tests and being so thorough <3

Also to the doctors at Glasgow that performed the surgery on such a wee lass <3

For those who have been sending pms/emails to me asking
after Connie and for those who gave support on last thread
here is what has been happening.
Connie had an Op yesterday due to a rare heart condition.
She was transferred to Glasgow from Aberdeen due to
equipment and specialists in dealing with children who are very ill.
If she did not have Op chances were that a heart attack would kill her.

Three parts to Op.......
1 Fitted with pacemaker
2 Closing of duct in her heart which should have closed at birth.
3 The banding of the Pulmonary Artery which will help close the
multiple small holes in the heart and give them a chance to close
by themselves.
It was open chest not open heart ie did not have to break ribs.
Late last night Connie was doing well and was started slowly
on some milk.
Today...Chest tube out also ventilator tube out. Still receiving
some oxygen.

Apparently this condition is rarely found without proper equipment.
In Aberdeen they only found two small holes because of lack of equipment.
Young teens who suffer an attack is often due to this rare condition not
being found.
My gratitude to all staff in both hospitals who have helped Connie and
still helping other children.
Thank you all once again for your support <3
