Major Power Failures

One of my dog walking friends had no power from 5ish for about 45 mins yesterday evening, her whole street was out. She lives about half a mile from me, fortunately we were ok. :-) I'm East London bordering on Essex :-)

Strange effect weather can have. If it's too hot the railway lines buckle. I thought

there was a gap between each line to compensate for that. Too much rain and

electrical circuts short. A perfect opportunity to improve on the insulators

that failed. Hopefullu no one was hurt, just delayed.. The storm drains shoul be

cleaned regularly as they once were.

To give them their due, the NP grid are pretty good at diverting power if they possibly can.

It’s patchy. We’re in the SE & we have power. Some parts of Medway, to the east of us, don’t.

Breaking News - Major Power Failures have been reported across large areas of the UK, affecting trains, airports and traffic lights.

Power operators for the South East, Midlands, South West and Wales said there was a 'major incident' affecting electricity.

UK Power Networks said it believed it was due to a 'failure on National Grid's Network'
