Before I was born (summer of 1965), my mum and dad rented an attic flat in a house owned by a family called Hewson who lived downstairs, in Seabrook near Folkestone. She's visiting Folkestone next week and fancied going to Seabrook to see the house again but doesn't have the address, road or anything. Just memories of the house being a big mock Tudor semi with a row of shops across from it and near the beach. Can anyone help?

	You could always use Google maps and walk the streets :-)

	I know that area a bit. There are very few shops in Seabrook, so it sounds as if the flat is on the main coast road, the A 259....ie. Seabrook Road. The research part of the library is closed at the moment, but when I am next in the area, I will look out for a probable building. EDIT I just looked on Streetview and wondered whether the flat might be on the north side of Seabrook Road,the A259, to the west of Horn Street. The houses are tall enough to have attic accommodation.

	British Phone Books 1880-1984 has a W J Hewson living at 101 Seabrook Road, Hythe around that time. This is a mock Tudor Semi. Could be worth a look on Google Streetview?
