My very brave granddaughter Stefanie is about to abseil down Broardgate Tower in London in aid of research for the Alzheimer’s society

She has raised over £500 in memory of her grandad ,my hubby Michael,

It’s 33 storys and one of the tallest buildings in London and all glass

He would be very proud but also think she is a bit nuts I think Lol

Well done, her. It's lovely that she is raising money for the illness that affected her grandfather. It shows how much he mattered to her

Very brave of her - and it's a wonderful cause. So many of us have been affected to a greater or lesser degree by this cruel illness.

I wish I had the nerve to do adventurous things like that.

Hope she feels very proud of herself. Well done Stefanie!

Very proud Jemima

And she made a very moving statement about doing it for her grandad and how she knew first hand what a strain it was on him and his family and how much she misses him .

She hoped that research could help families in the future so that it could be halted and not be a terminal diagnosis
