I'm beginning to realise that the initial heading of this thread does little or nothing to quell some of the subsequent tardy & unnecessary rabble rousing comments.

I guess I can now enjoy my bacon and avocado butties in peace now.

Believe it or not, the best one I've ever had was in the cafe at our local T*sco when I went shopping before Christmas with an old pal. The ladies in that cafe managed to produce one that was far superior to any I've tasted in more expensive establishments.

Even my pal's wrinkled nose in disgust did not put me off! :-D

I agree with you Sue, particularly where you say 'should serve to shut up all the people who have criticised them this past week'. But sadly I don't think it will. People are writing and speaking as if they are 'in the know' with first hand information from the Queen herself.

Last night I read a few 'interpretations' of the statement and two in particular were poles apart.

Even Prince Andrew, with what he is accused of, has not been vilified like this couple. One presenter in particular has been at the forefront of the vile reporting, and sadly too many people hang on to his every word.

I just hope they can be happy.

So if no Royal title as such then how can they have Sussex Royal as their company name??

12 months will also be around the time that Trump either leaves the Oval Office having been defeated for the Presidency in the elections OR he will be about to take his Oath once again to serve another term.

The actual date for that is January 20 2021

I think the resolution is very well thought through and should serve to shut up all the people who have criticised them this past week.

Other than the above conditions, so ably reported, this will be reviewed in 12 months, I guess at that time a little more tinkering may be necessary in connection with their earning potential not using the HRH connection.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have struck a deal with the royal family which will see them keep their HRH titles but not use them.

They will also keep Frogmore Cottage , but will pay back Sovereign Grant money used to upgrade the property.

So, I read for myself what is happening .................

they are giving up the HRH honorific, not being stripped of it. That means that they (?him) can resume using it if they (him) return to Royal duties in the future.

They are to be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex ..... same as Dian was Diana, Princess of Wales.

This will all be effective in Spring 2020 ...... which indicates they still have some royal duties to perform.

Harry is giving up all his honorary military roles

They are repaying the £2.4 million for the renovations at Frogmore, but will retain use of it for visits to the UK, paying rent.

They will not receive any money from the public purse, but Prince Charles will continue with his private subsidy.


One question being asked is whether they can keep the sussexroyal designation for their website.

I hadn't read about the house, but if it is correct then I think that she is living in fantasy world, based on Disneyland's idea of how a princess, or even ex-princess depending on what happens next, should live after marrying......well you know how the rest goes :-D

But then again the whole of Hollywood has been created around fantasies that people actual believe exist.

I just wonder where they are going to get the money to pay for that house that Meghan allegedly is interested in.

It's well over $35 million (about £27 million). That doesn't include fees, lawyers, etc

City taxes every year will be several hundreds of thousands of dollars

Both the city and the province levy taxes on houses that are left empty for more than 6 months of the year.

There are other penalties for leaving a house empty.

Heating and costs of other services will be huge.

I wonder if she's expecting father-in-law to pay????


Anyway, the realtor (estate agent) said he has heard nothing, and the house has not been shown "this week" ........... and he would know as he would have had to be contacted by any other realtor first.

I think once they get their-business up and running they go for PR as I don't think Harry will forsake granny,dad and the rest of the blood...…..not only the royals but theres the Spencers to include aswell.

All that remains to be seen will be as and when...…...and speculate if there will be a devide between M&H.and who gets the dogs.

Well Barbara they are and have,,,to Canada,

share countiries with a balance for Archies heritage,

and now can get on with their adventure to begin their new charity foundation work

She can look at all the property she wants to, whether it costs $1 million or $50 million, but that still doesn't mean that we have to pay for their protection.
