I visited a deep mine once ... wenr two or three miles under the sea.

It took some good engineers to build the coal cutters etc and to maintain them.

Underground visit was fine and I found it interesting but I would not have liked to do it all the time.

RAF Medmenham worked in a similar way to BP - they did photo reconnaissance in WW2
