Thank you, I never thought to do that but ,now I have, I know there are seventeen documentaries available and I can't pretend to want to watch any of them.

There's two pounds a week I won't be spending.

I am not the least bit interested in Netflix, but I found this for Sharron.

Can't you just Goggle online what's available on Netflix this month without actually being on it so to speak?

That would allow me to have a shufty through what they offer wouldn't it? That is worth thinking about.

Thank you.

You can buy a Netflix voucher if there is anything in particular you want to watch that's on Netflix.

There are thousands of movies on Netflix and it takes my husband hours to not make his mind up! I find a lot of TV shows on there including lot's of UK ones, but I only watch it as the kids pay for it :-)

I have never used Amazon although I did get somebody to send for a book for me once.

You Tube is a bit adventurous for me but I have found some very interesting things on there, including Ruby the swearing parrot.

Amazon prime is very much like Netflix

I also have Prime but only because I pay for amazon Prime as I do lots of shopping on Amazon and at £7.99 a month it pays me to have it for free p&p and next day delivery.
I then get Prime video at part of the package

I was bought an Alexa for Christmas and amazon prime also gets me access to the music

You can only get prime the virgin media TiVo box but Netflix I can get on any tv in the house

I do sometimes watch tv in bed so if I want to I can watch a film on Netflix on the older box connected upstairs

I didn't intend to ever have Sky but we had Top Up and, when it went under, it gave a good deal on Sky. OH pays a bit extra for sport and we did have the bloke out to take off the children's programmes and put on some extra documentaries.

There is not even much new on Sky but I do, sometimes, find a few interesting things on You Tube.

Serves me right for being weird I suppose.

We were trying to compare Netflix with Amazon Prime (which is another service you pay for) but, it seems to be the norm these days, you can't find out what's on it till you get it! There should be a month's trial (free or v.cheap) - just remember to cancel it if you don't want to keep it :-D

Thanks Shirley.

There would have to be an awful lot of documentaries for me to pay that much. I think I have only ever seen about a dozen films in my life (not counting the ones I went to but never saw in my youth!) and don't watch tv series.

i will probably not bother then

I have Netflix and yes it’s mostly films but also tv series like The Crown and The Durrells
It also has documentaries

Its has a really big selection of all sorts of films etc some of which I haven’t heard of

Think too there are American tv series that haven’t come to the UK

I pay £7.99 a month so very much cheaper than just one trip to the cinema

Not that I do cinema anymore as can’t sit comfortably to sit through a film and all the rubbish they show around it in adverts etc

You know I live somewhere around the end of the second world war. You know there are a lot of things I don't understand about the computer which, for me, is more of a typewriter with a screen. You know I have a mobile phone with buttons and I don't even know how to use that, even if I must have had a mobile phone for something like thirty years.

Well, can you explain NetFlix to me please?

I do watch Youtube on our Sky package and have ignored the NetFlix on there because I thought it was films and I never want to watch films but somebody mentioned that there were documentaries on there. Are there? Do you have to pay to watch it?
