On the subject of boat books, what do you think 'The Story of the Titanic for Children' is like?
Similarly, 'The Titanic Coloring Book'?
They just seem unnecessary for the very young.

Have you read it? Can you recommend it?

The rather more specialized oe I am referring to is called 'Cogs, Small Cogs and Boats' by Karel Vlierman but I am sure that one would be very useful for you if you would like to pick up a bit of basic kowledge.

Thank you for looking.

You know I was asking about sluice gates and other dull stuff recently?

A book I would desperately love to own has just been published. It is a definitive sort of book about the cog (smaller medieval ship) but it is nearly £200 to buy and, with the way I forget to take them back, it would probably cost me more in library fees if I borrowed it!

However, there is light, I will not be forced to do something sensible and interesting because I have just found a book about port customs free to read on-line. So i can still talk boring garbage to my hearts content, even if I am not as familiar with shipping as I would like!
