It was my granddads birthday today, he would have been 136, and he always said it was Primrose Day.

Primrose Day marked the anniversary of the death of the British statesman and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield, on 19 April 1881.

He rang here this morning before 8am…to ask his grandad would he give them a lift to school as it was pouring down and windy….apparently he has a cold….my dad would have called him a snowflake :-D :-D

Gwyn…In our local eatery their fish is the same…they used to do a smaller portion which was fine for me…but they have stopped now…..Grandson loves their fish and can still do a starter and pudding as well :-0 :-0 :-0

I remember going to Great Yarmouth in the summer of 73 on a last minute break with OH… I was pregnant with V…they sold mushy peas with mint sauce in little tubs from the stands on the front :-D

There's a pub towards the Sussex border, which is renowned for their fish and chips. The fish hangs over the sides of a large dinner plate. :-0
