Does anyone here wear them?
'On paper' they sound just right for me but I don't trust comments on companies own FB sites.
Can I get recommendations or otherwise here please?

I've never heard of them, but if you google "barefoot shoes women" and then scroll down to where the list of questions is, several of them make interesting reading. I don't think I'll be getting any!

Do you have a podiatrist/ chiropodist? They should be able to advise you on the correct style of shoe or give you inserts or tie moulds.

I have seen the adverts but they do sound too good to be true.

Thank you

Andysmum, I'm asking here as I would trust people here more than total strangers.

names, no I don't have a podiatrist/ chiropodist. That wasn't what I was asking for.

AnnG, good answer, that was why I'm asking here for a more personal feed back

I know that it was not precisely what you asked, but at least I commented having read your post.

I made the comment because everyone’s feet are different and what suits one persons feet may not suit another.

I also saw the ads on FB and thought they sounded good but then like Ann I thought maybe to good to be true. I didn't buy any in the end because the reviews I read were just a little ott in the praise .

I buy my shoes from Sandpiper as I have very wide feet and their shoes have a deep toe box but they are expensive but last a long time.

JustGinnie, exactly, that's why I'm asking here.

I buy Hotters extra wide which are comfortable but feel I would do better with more contact to the ground. I can no longer wear walking boots as the soles are too thick - how did I manage with platform boots? :-0

Thank you for advising that everyones feet are different Names.
I feel enlightened. :-D

Shame you didn’t mention your issue with your feet at the start.

Personally I thought barefoot shoes were those weird ones with individual toes

I found Skechers arch fit to be very comfortable when I had a problem with swollen feet. Their standard size was fine for me - their wide ones were much too wide.

Saying about Sketchers, I love their trainers but whereas I have previously had to get M&S wide fitting, Sketchers wide fitting have proved too wide for me.
Have you tried sketchers Island? I do spend a lot of time in hiking (rather than very heavy walking) shoes which are like a very heavy trainer. I find I keep my balance better in those (although they are not smart) But I do have Sketchers trainers which I find give me good support.

Hopefully not too much off topic and, as it seems the bare foot shoes are a no, just another suggestion.
I have always hated buying shoes as have always since my teens (those pointed very high heels) had problem feet. Toes that curve over etc.

Island, my daughter has them and gets on well with them. I considered them and would have liked to see them in a shop and tried them on but was dubious about buying shoes online. It’s OK with brands where I know what fits me but I don’t want to buy a new brand online. Not much help to you really.

I wear the sketchers arch fit most of the time and have just bought some smart all black ones ( not worn yet). If I wear anything else I have to wear an insert given to me by the podiatrist.

SuffolkVera, I feel the same about buying shoes on line. Feel the same about trousers - but that is a different story ;-)

Names, I asked a specific question. I didn't think I needed to add any issues I have with my feet.
My question was to the point. I hoped answers would be to the point. Is that so difficult?

To recap -
Barefoot shoes.
Does anyone here wear them?
'On paper' they sound just right for me but I don't trust comments on companies own FB sites.
Can I get recommendations or otherwise here please?

I really don't want to plough through irrelevant replies.

Thank you Vera :-D

I would like to see them in a shop - or on someones feet - but there are no shoe shops where I live :-(
I trust Hotters and Pavers online and recently bought some slippers online from Bon Marche which are ok.
