Afternoon Belle :-) <3

Island :-D :-D
Grandson has had a good few years to get used to his feet :-)
Even as a young child, shoes often had to be ordered into a shop, as they didn't generally stock very wide fittings.
Then when about 11 years old or so, his feet started getting much longer.
At 12 he took size 12
At 13 he was in a 13 ..etc. so we were thankful when he at last stopped growing ;-)

He buys his own now and larger sizes are more readily available, but I remember daughter scouring 2 local towns for a pair of new shoes the correct size, when he came home from school one day and they had broken.

Not sure where his gene came from... His father looks like a slight gust of wind could blow him away :-S

Gwyn, I agree about youngsters being tall but Partner wasn't the youngster.
Youngest generations can't be consistently taller than parents or they be gigantic now. The older generation slowly shrinks without noticing :-)

Our mother had a habit of telling people my youngest brother is tall. I had to tell her to stop saying that - he's 5'6 but the tallest in the family!

Size 16 shoes? :-0 Does he unintentionally trip up passers by?

After morning Belle :-D :-D

Morning Island :-) <3 or afternoon now, I suppose :-S

There's certainly a 'tall gene' tendency with all these younger folk.

My grandson is also tall... not sure how much over 6 foot, but it's his feet that are more extreme.
He takes a size 16 in shoes. :-0

Morning Fly :-D and all who sail past :-D :-D :-D
Did you read my late comment on yesterdays thread?

Talking of yesterday and the subject of height.
My late partner was 6'5
One day when son was about 10/12, partner referred to sons grandad as 'dad'
Son was blown away by this revelation.
"What? Grandad is your dad"? :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
"But you're taller than grandad"!!!
:-D

A chunk from the middle of this comment disappeared as I was about to post :-( :-S :-| so that's me pixelated off :-|

Morning Fly and Ann :-) <3

Bright and breezy here, following a wild wet night.

The wild was really howling after quite a pleasant calm day yesterday :-0
