Has any else had problems with refunds not being honoured?

Specifically, I am owed a refund since mid December! I didn't receive my frozen foods - £46 worth! I had to contact them when really they should have informed me. Apparently the store freezers failed so they had to bin the lot.
We all know what a nightmare call centres are so I won't go into detail.
Response to my previous call was 'someone will call you in the morning' no-one did!.
Today, nearly two weeks later the response is 'someone will email you' I'm not holding my breath!
I asked for compensation and was awarded £10 to use against my next order - should I complain 4 more times to cover my missing refund I wonder?
Any thoughts on where to go next? - pref not a call centre

Sorry about the rant folks but I'm finding this massively unacceptable %3A-%7C %3A-%7C %3A-%7C

I would personally go in the local store to the customer help desk and stick a few choice words into them. :-D. Why should they diddle you out of a refund. :-|

Thanks LG :-D

Unfortunately, the local store isn't that local and I don't drive.

The first time I spoke to someone on the phone - to ask why my frozen products hadn't been delivered - I got a very helpful man, presumably in the UK as he spoke English with a clear 'non accent' voice. Since then I've got women who could be parked on the moon who I could not understand. :-|

Email the CEO ….address readily available if you google. I did this with Dyson and got sorted in no time…after weeks of call center nonsense.

:-D

I agree with Ann....I had a Lidl trolley left outside my house and I wanted them to come a collect it....after lots of promises but no action, I wrote to the CEO and it was sorted in a couple of weeks. :-)

No canal local to you then Belle LOL - I jest but it's where a lot end up.

It is shameful of Sainsburys to subject their UK customers to such poor customer support. They have enough of our money.

Just to add, if you send letters to the CEO always spray perfume inside and outside. He will definitely get it ;-)

Well hoo-ray!

I emailed the CEO - thank you Ann :-D <3

Next morning I took a phone call from a clearly spoken and polite English man in the UK. He was very helpful and quickly set up a means for me to recover my refund.
It was a bit long winded due to glitches on the paying website but the money should be landing in my bank account by Thursday.

Happy with that but it has meant an end to the phone calls with my hero - we'd struck up quite a rapport and had a giggle, can't help myself, have to go off piste :-D :-D

Fingers crossed!

Just had a text '1 - 3 working days' Friday then :-D

Well done Island..... brilliant :-D. Hopefully you won't need to complain again in the future but if you do you'll know to go straight to the organ grinder ;-) :-D

Well done Island…however they need to improve their so called customer service..my guess is the CEO office gets quite a few grumbles from Sainsbury customers :-|

Ann, all UK companies should stop penny pinching and have respect for their UK costumers by dumping foreign call handlers

I doubt I am the only person who has been subjected to 'menus' and non English speaking call handlers when recently bereaved. I went from making two phone calls a day to just one every other day because it was so stressful.
Not a good time to be widowed in this 'modern world.

I'll stick with ordering from Sainsbury's because I have direct phone number and email - just in case :-D

I agree with all you say Island….had loads of conversations over the years with CC and had to give up the call because it was so hard to understand them :-(
