Bright and sunny here but rather cool.

My son and I went to Danby Beacon on the North York Moors last night for the ceremony and it was lovely to see how many people turned out as it is a bit off the beaten track. There was a band from the cadets playing and a choir sang I Vow the Thee My Country. There was a lovely sunset as the beacon was lit.

Really enjoyed it. Didn't get home until 10-45pm. I'm not used to being out at night so it was quite an experience.

It seems much warmer and it is very sunny, although the breeze is quite strong still.

Could definitely have done with my bobble hat, when we went to the lighting of the beacon, last night.
We were only yards from the actual sea and a really bitter wind was blowing straight off The Channel :-|
