Does anyone still close their curtains when there is a funeral near to where they live? We still do, I think it is a show of respect for those living and for the deceased. And when I told this to friends they thought I had gone mad. |

I do and also stand still and bow my head if a funeral courtage is going by. It shows respect in my eyes. |

When it was a funeral of someone in the road we live in we all stood and bowed our head because as you say it is a mark of respect. |

I have always done it since I was a child as my relations always did. |

my family never did and neither do I but if a funeral passes near me I do stand in respect. |

I don't do it, but only because my house stands alone, no passing people or traffic. |
