An amazing jazz singer, espcialy with her huband John Dankworth

I saw her at a Jazz festival in Clacton during the summer of 1959. I was working at a private hotel in Frinton, and several of us packed into a car to go to the Jazz Festival.

That was my introduction to Jazz, still my favourite music, though not modern style!.

I still remember that it was Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Laine.

We also heard Humphrey Littleton then
