My pyracantha is full of ripe berries, is this a result of the summer weather or foretelling a hard winter :-S |

I cut back our Pyracantha about 2 years ago & it hasn't produced as many berries since but it has been cut back before & does eventually produce an abundance of berries. |

I was thinking the same thing about the berries being gone by winter. |

The hedgerows around here are full of berries, the birds will be delighted I'm sure :-D :-D. Lots of brown leaves on the roads too so Autumn seems to have appeared early this year or is it just the heat and shortage of water that has caused it |

I’m not sure the plants know what is happening. My Weigela has more flowers on it |

For many years my pyracanthus has developed lots of berries then the berries all turned black. This year the berries appeared really early and are all a lovely bright red, no black to be seen. I think it is the combination of early wet and now two months with no rain that has caused it. They are so beautiful to see. |
