Standard Subscription's 50 Free Credits

Memory is a fickle thing - so here goes.

When the site went down years ago they changed my renewal date by a month or so.
Did they give us credits as well - no idea.

At some time they upped the £7.?? Sub to £8.96. This has remained for the auto renewals.

At some time they upped the standard price for new members or those that had a break in membership to £17.96. My added memory to this is that some people were paying that each 6 months.

Quote “ memories may vary”

Added: if complaints are made and everyone’s subs go up then I am off. Probably not missed by some ;-)

Exactly Island, I am not objecting to the amount so much but I detest unfairness

LG, if the explanation is anything like the yarn they spun re refusing me compo when the site was down a number of years ago your jaw will hit the keyboard.
Someone had to be taking the proverbial :-0
It's not about a few quid, it's about unfairness

I pay £17.96, too.

It was less than that when I first joined, but one year, ages ago, I let it lapse, and the higher price is from when I started again, only a couple of months later.

LaGooner Report 5 Nov 2025 21:05

My subscription is £17.96 a bit of a wide difference to yours Island. How do they warrant such a big price gap. I have always auto renewed since I joined in 2003 and I have never purchased any extra credits. The mind boggles how they work it out :-| :-D

Island Report 5 Nov 2025 19:20

So how come some people get free credits on renewal and others don't?

Shouldn't be surprised - it's been a Mickey Mouse set up since Estelle and Phil left :-(

ArgyllGran Report 5 Nov 2025 19:11

I have 40 credits!

Pay Per View credit purchase history
Payment Date Total Credits Purchased Credit Expiry Date Remaining Credits
14/03/2025 290 14/03/2026 40
14/03/2024 2800 14/03/2025 0
14/03/2023 4140 14/03/2024 0
14/03/2022 6390 14/03/2023 0
13/03/2021 6590 13/03/2022 0
13/03/2020 5610 13/03/2021 0

and similar weird figures in previous years. The "purchases" are on the renewal dates.

I do get free credits on auto-renewal, but don't remember ever having bought any - certainly not in such numbers.

I use them very occasionally, but only the free ones.

I didn't know there was a Standard Subscription £1+ per month :-S

Don't give the money grabbers ideas LG :-0
I've been paying 8.96 for years.
Was a fiver when I first subbed but I've come to realise that I was not special enough to stay at that rate - or be given compo when the site was down several years ago :-|
The excuse for no compo was laughable, somebody should have been given a slap :-0 :-|

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Nov 2025 18:28

Usual Genes isn't it different subs rates for folk and credits or no credits :-S :-S :-S They need to get their act together and make it the same subs and credits for all :-| :-D

Hi everyone
If I have the Standard Subscription £1+ per month payable in a lump sum does it come with 50 Free Credits or am I misunderstanding it?
Grateful for advice as I haven't checked in for a while.
