There are regular questions about ged coms failing.

Before you contact [email protected] have you thought about changing the name so you can import the file and then change it back once it has landed,

Personallly, I only keep a fraction of my tree on Genes. My large tree is kept offline.

Hi all,
Just so you know, for the last couple of days I have had problems importing a new file to Genes.
It has continually come back saying FAILED due to a name called ARAMOHO, which is located in Whanganui, New Zealand. Genes system did not accept it.
This is what I had to do to fix the problem.
1. Opened my FTM file
2. Compacted file.
3. Made Ged Com
4. Opened Ged Com
5. Compacted file (again)
6.Made Ged Com (again)
7.Imported to Genes.
This time it accepted the Ged Com, yet I changed nothing.
So there has to be something wrong on the Genes side, as this has happened before.
