OH says we have both WD and Norton. Norton being the better system. They don’t interfere with each other. |

Norton clashes with loads of things it is a damn nuisance :-| :-| :-|. I used it for a while then ditched it :-) |

I just have WD and C cleaner, WD seems to do the job for me. I had McAfee when I bought this PC but I remembered from before that my OH got rid of it because it was more nuisance than help. Many years back we had Norton and it was OK. |

Island, years ago I had Norton but now it's McAfee. I think my beloved changed to Mcafee somewhere along the line but I don't know why - probably monetary is my guess! |

I suppose that maybe WD will only notify anything other than a scan run if there is something bad happening. I also just get the info when a scan has been run. |

I don't know about Defender but we have had trouble with Norton and other anti-virus programs. It seems to be one of those that doesn't like competition. We have avoided it since then and had no further bother. |
