I thought I would be quick off the mark and be at Sainsbs for 8 this morning. Blow me down if it hadn’t opened at 6 and the car park was busy.

Like you, Maddie, what I have not got is tough.

Only have to pop down the road to deliver a Xmas card to dtr’s in-laws. They’ll think I’ve forgotten them but I just haven’t got to their neck of the woods.

You got me thinking.
I don't remember specific details of that Christmastime back in 1970, but I remember OH hitch-hiked to see me at my parents' house on New Year's Eve, that year.
He got a lift with a vicar, who was very pleasant, but who said he always travelled the scenic route ( at near midnight :-S ) so it was way into the early hours of 1st before OH eventually arrived :-0
