Here is a bit of useful information for any of you who are buying new curtains.

Son and DIL are doing a lot of alterations to their house and went shopping recently for some new curtains for their patio doors. After looking all round the shop, which is like a warehouse full of curtains and material, they found some they liked but were told that the shop didn't have any for patio doors but they could have them made to measure. Cost - £450.00!!!

They thought this was a bit much and went on looking around. Their patio doors are actually two standard size doors that happen to lead on to a patio, and they noticed that the same colour curtains were available for doors at £40.00 a pair.

So, if you are looking for curtains and your doors are standard size, don't call them patio doors! :-S :-S
