Barbara Smith (WINTON) I am doing a family tree on my Fathers Paternal side. I have gotten back as far as David Winton b. 1872 who married Lucy Hodges (Chivell ) b. 1893. Lucy had been married before to a Norman Hodges and had one child Alfred Norman Hodges. Norman was killed in WW1. They had 2 children David Sexon Winton (my father) b. 1925 and Donald Lindsay Winton b. 1928 and adopted a daughter Shirley b. 1936. John Winton married a Catherine Sexton on 22 July 1862. David was one of the offspring from this union. So that makes them my great grandparents. I would like to go back further if I could. I think John's father was a Peter Winton who married (I think) Janet Low or Lowe. If any one has any information that will help me I would be extremely grateful. Regards |
