Does anyone else suffer from it.I have been suffering the last couple of months off and on.All day today.Ibuprofen tablets do not seem to kill the pain completly.Does anyone else know what does work. Annie

yep amytriptilene but this also makes you very sleepy and dopey as you can see i take it lol, not nice is it i just wanted to rip the side of my face of basically , hope you get it sorted x

My BIL has Annie nearly sent him mad.. they tried to treat it with anti depressents.

I dont care if i get sleepy and dopey i just need to get out of this pain.I keep thinking my side of my face is swollen as well.Do you get them tablets from the doctor? Annie

Amotrpoline and vitamins......vitamins pick you up and amotrpoline helps the pain...where is it?

Ok my mum use to use something called Bocsan...its a mouth wash..she said its brill..Then I had tooth pain and used it ...it was BRILL Have you tried clove oil ..from boots thats BRILL for tooth ach

Hi Grannie Annie, Sorry to hear you are in pain. Do you know what is causing the neuralgia? If it is caused by something like an abcess, you may need to clear the infection first with antibiotics. Sometimes viral infection can cause it too. Get yourself along to your GP and see if they can help. Nerve pain is awful and, if you're unlucky like me, none of the over-the-counter or even prescription painkillers seem to work. Hope you get sorted soon.

evening all. i used to use bocasn for my gingervitis, but unfortunately, it has been removed from the market. you cant buy it anywhere! the next best thing is corsydil. its a mouth wash, tastes yuk, and doesnt work as quick as bocasan. for neuralgia i have taken ibuprofen and paracetomol together. you could try codien phosphate as well. my sympathy is with you. i know you are in agony. hope you get it sorted soon. taylor xx

so true!!! it was the only thing worked for me. i have asked many chemists why they have taken it off the market and they cant tell me. i did buy it once in gran caneria but thats quite a long way to go. unless of course you know someone who is going there for a holiday.. perhaps some one on here lives in spain and could ask at the apothikie (spelling) if they still sell it, ande maybe send some over.
