Could anyone tell me please if/where on the Isle of Wight there are any small, quiet coves, suitable for fatties to swim in without feeling conspicuous. Chrissie x

Hiya Chrissie, I don't know anything about the Isle of Wight, but agree with Joan, Guernsey and Jersey have loads and they are all very pretty too.... Sark has a beautiful sheltered and un-overlooked cove!!!! (unless someone goes by on a speedboat!!) lol Hope you have a nice time..... Nanna-Moo ;-)))

Thanks all:) PP - Is Louise P the same Louise that was Louise S? I was wondering where she was as I know she lived on the Isle of Wight. Nanna Moo - Thanks but we have already booked the Isle of Wight. I can see we shall have to bear Jersey and Gurney in mind for the future. Pink halo (is that you Diana?) I should add that it isn't just the excess flab that's the problem. I have a horrible skin problem (granuloma anulara) that has eaten away the collegen on my legs, arms and body. It has left me looking as though I have the worst cellulite problem ever:)

Hi Diana:) For about 3 years I stopped going in the sea or hotel pools at all and then I thought 'why am I spoiling my fun, it's their problem not mine'. Since then I have done both but I try to choose a time and place when it's quiet. The year before last I got a bit more confident after a young man (well, young to me, he was about 30/32) came up to me as I was about to enter the sea and he started chatting. He was a real looker too!! Since then I have thought 'if he wasn't embarrased to be seen talking to me why should I care. Hope you are well:) Chrissie x
