To each and every one of you, who wished my Grandson Christopher a Happy 10th Birthday. It really was good of you all to post at such short notice. My Daughter and I could not believe how many of you posted. They have just arrived home safe and sound. Christopher is just about to open all his presents and cards, that his Mum forgot to put into the car when they came up here. His Mum and Dad went out yesturday and bought him presents to open, mainly clothes they would have bought this next month anyway. Mind you he did end up getting a Chelsea football which they couldnt get down in the Midlands. Christopher didnt seem too upset, in fact he came downstairs at 5.10 am this morning to see what he had got, I was fast asleep on the sofa as I kept disturbing hubby with my snoring, Lol. So I sent him back up to bed for another couple of hours as his parents were still sound asleep. I have had a lovely unexpected weekend, although I did seem chained to the cooker and dishwasher. Cooked a massive Sunday lunch for 11 of us then a massive breakfast for the same this morning. House is like a tip, sticky fingermarks from 22 month old Grandson Adam and from now crawling 10 month old Grandaughter Chloe. Grandad will be glad to get back to work tomorrow, after trips to the beach and playing football to mornings running. I did manage to half freeze to death, although the sun was shining lovely,in a pub garden yesturday teatime, nearly had two heart attacks when Adam came down a slide, and I though Chloe was being pushed too high in a baby swing. Just going to open a bottle of wine and relax now. Thanks everyone, we really appreciated your lovely messages. Love Jenny xx PS. You have all restored my spirits, so I have just renewed my membership for another year. |
