Is 60 years young today and I haven't seen her looking so radiant and happy since the birth of my second daughter when I told her that I was giving her my grandmothers name as her middle name. She has been thoroughly spoilt today and deservedly so. She isn't one for overt displays of emotion but today she cried at the fuss that had been made of her. It was time and effort not material things that counted. All her family travelled from all over the country to be with her. Bless her. We've had such a lovely time celebrating her big day xx |

How lovely - wish your Mum a belated Happy Birthday from me who will be 60 in July. When I was 50 I had a big party in my then local pub, people dropping in or staying for a while - went on from 2pm to 11 pm. This year, I am not sure what I want to do, but my son doesn't seem to be making a lot of effort to help me decide and o.h. just keeps saying 'What do you want to do?' Since moving in with him I have lost touch with a lot of my friends, the pub has changed hands and I don't use it anymore cos it isn't nice and friendly as it was, and I don't have a big family, so have a feeling it will be a non event. Maybe I will just book a ticket and sod off on my own lol |
