What a kind thought - daffs always remind me summer is coming. Dry your eyes and smile at your flowers and think of happy times with your mom. Hugs Mary xx |

Ah Gwynne, isn't that a lovely gesture. What a good friend you have there. It's always sad when birthdays and anniversaries come around on top of trying to cope with other issues. Wipe your eyes and enjoy your flowers, they'll look better if they are not blured LOL I always think daffodils bring hope for the future as they are so bright and sunny looking. ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) Daphne |

This isn’t an easy time of year for me – it would have been my Mum’s birthday on Monday and it’s approaching the anniversary of her death. This, combined with other less important but still upsetting stuff, has left me having a few low days. Then today the postman rang twice and handed me a box full of daffodils that have come all the way from Jersey. They are now in various vases around the living room and are opening nicely. They are my favourite flower and a very kind GR friend who knows this sent them to me for St David’s Day and to remember my Mum’s birthday. Thank you is a very inadequate word in response for such kindness. Even though I’m crying I’m actually feeling very happy. She may not want her name mentioned – but if you take 2 letters off the end of my name you may get a clue. Gwynne |
