yeah to be honest with you TOR I wasn't that impressed with winning it to be honest.-can't see it doing the city much good. Blackpool need a total revamp-maybe it should have gone there. catherine xx Manchester re-generation is amazing I worked on alot of the projects a few years ago. |

Catherine according to the news Manchester 'won' the vote to get a super casino, as it will help with urban regeneration. Sorry but I think Manchester LOST the vote. Especially in light of the superb regeneration schemes already under way. Personally can't see anything positive that will come out of this scheme for Manchester and the surrounding areas. Look at organised crime, drug trafficking and gun offences in Atlanta, USA. T.O.R. x |

All this government can seem to dream up to 'enhance' our leisure time is increased pub opening hours and super-casinos! What a miserable lack of vision - buf of course it's all more money for them in tax revenues! PS Have never been to Manchester but am sure it's a great place! |

I can't think of anything worse than super casinos. Terrible to encourage gambling on a large scale, as well as long pub drinking hours and the binge drinking that goes with it. Ann Glos |
