Bought a Rottwilier bitch last week, 3 months old beautiful dog, took it to the vets for injections and she said that it had hole in heart and murmer and was unlikely to live after 6 months old, God I was gutted when she told me this. Dx

Hi Dave,Thats awful, how very sad. I have to say thats why Im so against breeding dogs/cats,most breeders are in it for the money not the animals welfare. I know there are some animal loving breeders(before I get attacked)lol.but they are very few and far between. As lou said,at least it will know some ove and kindness for its short life, who knows she could live longer than they expect, vets have been known to be wrong on occasions. Roxanne x

what was upsetting was that this should have been picked up by the breeders vet when the dog had its first injections. Dx

perhaps it was but the breeder just sold it on anyway.

i'm With Roxanne on this, I strongly disagree with breeding animals for profit, you just have to look at dog rehoming centers these days, no longer full of mutts they are now full to the brim of 'designer dogs', full pedigree's dumped either an unwanted (not up to scratch) litter, or ex breeding dogs around the age of 3 no longer wanted coz they are no use to them any more now they can't breed them.... And these poor dogs, like your friend has now, are the result of mans/womans greed for profit...Sad... LOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
