The News of the World 'Royals' editor has been given 4 months in prison for PLOTTING to hack into the 'royals' voice mail. A child sex offender has been released because there is no room in the prison system. lies, madness - what is going on? Jennifer |

I thought exactly the same . What I can't understand is if I read right it is none dangerous prisoners that can be saved ( not sure what word to use) and the dangerous ones to be given prison sentences. So how come phone tapping is more dangerous than a child molester. Beggars belief Germaine x |

As I've said on another thread, God help the human race. As you say, it beggars belief. |

Exactly whatw e thought when we heard last night. I assume it is because the instruction is to judges to implement it and it depends on how each judge interprets it. Ann Glos |

The judge couldn't, apparently, imprison the sex offender because there was no room in the prisons. But on the same day the 'royals' editor is sent inside for 4 months, for merely plotting an offence. Do the royals need more protection of their privacy than children do from sex offenders? The point is there is obviously room in the prisons for someone plotting to invade the royals privacy, but not for a paedophile. Jennifer |

Personally I think the judge was taking the p**. He could easily have sent the paedophile to prison had he so wanted. He was playing politics in my opinion and the courtroom is no room for playing games. Jean. |
