Am I out of order here? I'm feeling really hacked off because: I started doing hubby's family tree a few weeks ago because his brother and neice said they were really interested in finding out about their grand/greatgrandparents etc. Having spent a load of money on certificates (which I really can't afford 'cos I'm not working!) and spending many many hours of my time finding and then putting all the info onto a family tree in Ancestry - guess what - they can't even be bothered to register and look at the tree!!! At least hubby (who really isn't interested) has had the courtesy to look at it. Ok moan over :-))) Mary

Mary Mary ......... lol How much joy did you have searching your husbands tree? I bet LOADS. I would now just gloat over the fact that you have the family tree & they can always pay their fee to join here to look at it!! lol Much happiness Debi Ps - also now your children don't have a lopsided tree - a bonus !!

Mary, I think the big test of how really interested other people are (or not) is when they are asked to contribute towards certs. If they're not willing to at least go halves on a joint venture, then let them get on with it on their own! Jay

Next time they ask you to do any thing just smile and politly tell them where to get off, but in the mean time, just think how well you did in all of that research, and give your self a pat on the back for being clever. Bev
