i would like to know if anybody can help me i have found out when my grandmother died her name was muriel constance lumsden she died as far as we know giving birth to a second child it says in the census that she died in manchester north aged 27 vol 8d page 524 can anyone tell me how to apply for a copy of the death certificate for her daughter my mum and if so would it have on it cause of death any help would be great thanks dawn

Hi Dawn, Using the reference number that you have above plus the year and quarter, you can order the death cert from www.gro.gov.uk and it will cost £7. Yes, it will tell you the cause of death. Sam x
