Postal advice please. How much

to send a letter to Holland, just a single piece of paper in a foolscap envelope,....Is an ordinary 1st class stamp enough...... Would save me queing in the P.O for about 30 minutes.......Linda

No Linda I don't think you can use a first class stamp, if my memory serves me right they are just for UK. Prices for Europe. 10g £0.44 20g £0.44 40g £0.64 60g £0.83 Germaine x

Hi Linda I wouldn't have thought a first class stamp would be enough to go outside the UK. I only have a UK postage information sheet here but the royal mail website is very helpful www.royalmail(.)com remove the bracket. Mandy :)

it now all depends on the size of the item too I believe they have a guage at our PO just been informed by the wife lol overseas prices are more expensive and havent changed the guage is for UK post lol Paul

Just a thought.........do you buy your stamps as you need them? I buy mine buy the book, especially at christmas time, any unused ones get used later on. remember a stamp (1st or 2nd class),is still a valid stamp EVEN if the price goes up!!
