a photographic programme for computers please? I can import and print photos with my hp combined copier,scanner,printer and also on Kodakshare via my camera BUT I am finding both of these programmes a real pain being so restrictive. The hp scans and prints no problem but prints less than it shows on the screen as a preview - ie it cuts people off !! and the Kodak one is restrictive when trying to resize - ie those old 'small' photographs etc. I am trying to copy/print old family photographs, some of which are not standard size and would like to be able to get them to a reasonable size, say 5 x 3.5 but just cannot manage it with either of these programmes. I spend ages fiddling about with it but am not happy with the results. As a techno-phobic I need something 100% easy but with good flexible results. Needs to work well on Windows XP. Any advice ?...... other than rushing down to Asda and letting them do it !!!

I have photosuite. I love photosuite 4 but it is playing up now because it is old, was really for windows 98 and doesn't like XP. I have Photosuite 7 but don't like it half as much. I have read good things about paint shop pro, so maybe that is the one to go for. Ann Glos

Picasa 2 .......it's a Google programme........free to download, easy to use, and allows manipulation of photographs. I find it excellent Reg

i agree with Reggie............. also use Picassa 2, and have recently tried photobox for printing, recommend them too, lol

I use Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium which is rather expensive at over a grand but there are plenty of other cheaper Adobe products available. Paint Shop Pro has a very good reputation and is easy to get to grips with. It is very good for working with photographs.

Have downloaded Paint Shop Pro XI for a free 30 day trial but up to now I can't understand it. I am absolutely hopeless. Nevertheless I shall continue reading via the Help section on what to do and hope I can get to grips with it. I want to be able to slightly increase the size of existing photos and print several on one page. No doubt if I persist I will find out how to do it. Adobe sounds good but as I will only be using the programme spasmodically, it wouldn't be worth spending that amount of money. Thanks for everyone who replied to my thread.
