Got some more news last nite, other than 'she's doing okay' Mum spoke to her ........... she is wiped out by the chemo at the moment - bedbound a good deal of the time - they are having to try different ones and the current one is quite aggressive apparently. She's still having injections to boost her white cells, but no more blood transfusions as the consultant says her own bone marrow will become 'lazy' otherwise. On Saturday she has got to have a full body scan, and also a head scan as she has been suffering very badly with headaches recently - fingers crossed on that one please. Other than that, the consultant is pleased - he says the tests are showing that her tumours have decreased slightly, so that hopefully means the chemo is helping a bit ............... |
