Hi one and all just to update all the brill people who took the time and trouble to get in touch re mum. She has had her op ,and was talking to my daughter when in the resuss room. I visited 3hrs after her op and she was full of it ( mind you she had ,had a epidural and was giving the morphine self med, a bit of stick). But she was bright as a button having all the theatre and ward staff in stitches. Before I left she had ,a drink of water and cup of tea.She asked more than once for her tea, 'bless' and was informed she could have sarnies later.I was filling in tomorrows menu for her and asking what she would like, her reply just put me down for one of each, this is the 85yr old with no appettite at home, her last words to my self today and my sister yesterday were dont forget my num-nums, (goodies). God do I feel much better now that bit is over. |

Frankie, I'm so glad it went well :o) So pleased she was brave enough to go through with it despite Mr 'Tact'!! Maybe they could provide a little bit of 'happy medicine' (morphine) for when she gets home!!! Life will be so much better once she can walk again without pain. Give her a hug from me, she sounds lovely. maggie |
