Has anyone actually messaged any of the people that have posted the threads, and did you get a response?

There is one person who posted one of the census petition threads who also posted on one of the other threads.

David You are right - they are keeping a nutter on the internet and away from the community. Just wish they would go somewhere else - there is now no doubt in my mind that this is the same person who couldn't stop themselves posting on the Success board. This person is intelligent and has no trouble working out how to cause mischief in other people's names. Pity he - or do I mean she - cannot put their intelligence to something more worthwhile. OC

Hi Mandy.....nice to see you! I do know what you mean about them all being similar and nobody coming back to their thread. And I do remember some of the members getting those emails. But in order to post a message you need a full paying account. If you don't have a full paying account, surely you must know how to hack into an account. Therefore nobodies account on here can be safe. Soooo we're back to where we were a few months ago......the security on this site is pants! lol J x

Hi Jeanette I suppose 'spam' might be too technical a term, but bearing in mind how a lot of us had those private emails sent to us in our board names, I think it's quite likely that these emails are being 'planted'. I hesitate to use that word in case it sounds like MI5 pmsl, but you know what I mean! It's just a bit funny how they all sound the same, like those emails sent to loads of people at the same time, and they're posted by people who don't seem to have posted before (and they don't come back to post on their threads either!). Hi David I agree with you to a point, but it's a bit yawny when there are several on the front page;) Mandy :) xx

Hi Anne When they first started appearing, I just assumed they were genuine people who had received an email asking them to pass on the message to their friends, contacts, any relevant websites etc. However, now that more and more of them are appearing and only seem to be posted by members who don't normally use the boards, I'm very suspicious as to their origins. I caught one of them being phantom nudged for the second time this afternoon and would now agree with those who think we are being 'spammed. I will definitely not be adding to any of them! Mandy :) PS: How's Trowbridge Man?!

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 22 Jan 2007 17:32

Okay - so we ALL know by now what the agenda is, whether we agree or not. We also ALL (well most of us) know that the 1931 does not exist as it was destroyed in the war, and that there was no 1941 taken due to the war.................. As someone now seems to be taking pleasure in 'phantom nudging' them to irritate us further, my suggestion is - Do Not Post on anymore new ones that appear - just let them disappear ........... if we are not seen publicly to be getting irritated by them - then the nudges are a wasted effort! *dons tin hat and awaits the flack*
