Janet, I know where you are coming from and always try to attend where possible, especially when I think the person didn't have many relatives etc. I have been to some sad funerals with just a few people, it is so sad. Hope your friend rests in peace and is reunited with loved ones gone before. Liz |

That's so sad - I attended a funeral last Friday of a chap I worked with 24 years ago. I had a conversation with one of his daughters and she said he wouldn't have believed how many had turned up as when he knew his cancer was terminal, he actually said he didn't have many friends so there would be few at his funeral. Been to a funeral today, male, never married,72,mourners-his mum (with 2 carers from her residential home), his elder sister, his 3 nephews and niece, me, my mum and another neighbor. It was the saddest funeral I have ever been to. His loves were Elvis and mobile phones. God bless him and his family Janet We didn't know wether to go or not but we are so glad we did, the family were so grateful |
