When you export your tree from from a package like Family Tree maker, you have the option of a Text file or PDF file. You can also creat a reprt and expord as a text file or PDF. texts files will open in word and PDF files need Adobe Acrobat Read. |

Sue, I found these instructions on the web, not sure if it is what you want.... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - November 08, 2006 OK, so you're done creating your PDF document and have it looking just the way you want, but you want to send it off for a second opinion, or perhaps you need someone to sign-off on it. Never fear, sending PDF documents via email is a piece of cake in Acrobat 7. Here's how: Open the PDF document that you wish to email. Select File > Email... Complete your email message and send. Any comments, attachments or links are embedded in the document and will travel with it, ensuring a faithful reproduction of your PDF document on the other end. Simple, huh - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dee x |

PDF stands for portable document format and was devised by Adobe just like .doc applies to Word etc. If you can export as a PDF it means anyone can open it on their computer exactly as you set it out. |

Hi again Sue, I use Family Tree Maker. If I want to send information from it via Adobe Acrobat, I simply right click my mouse on the page I want to send and a window opens up with various options including the option to Export...if I click on this it gives me the option to Export to Acrobat (PDF). Does this work on your PAF?? Dee x |
