Hope you feel better soon Donna. Backs are a pain lol I have spent the last three weeks off work with mine 99% of the time it is absolutely fine but for no reason my back will suddenly go into a spasm, it's agony and it normally takes about three to four weeks to get better. I work on the George department at Asda so loads of lifting and up and down ladders so no chance of going back until I am fit. Linda |

Been there - got the tee shirt! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Do we believe the story about 'a window' or was it a more energetic pastime?!! |

I've really suffered with my back this last week. Carol said try my T.E.N.S machine. I've never used one but Carol uses it now and again for neck pain from a whiplash injury years ago and she swears by them. I put one pad on my spine and the other on my hip (the pain was inbetween the 2 pads) Carol said keep pressing the up button until the pain goes away, I got to number 7 and it was like turning off as light, instant relief. I was amazed, these T.E.N.S. machines are brilliant. Lloyds pharmacy have them on offer at the moment £10, well worth it. Ron www*genealogyprinters*com |

Hi Donna, I sympathise totally as a fellow sufferer. Usually mine gives me a warning so if I am careful and avoid tweaking it I am OK. But if I tweak it, OMG!!!! Plenty of rest and TLC for you, my girl. |

Ouch...poor you Donna! Been there done that, had the surgery! (mine was a ruptured lumbar disc, the sciatica was excruciating). I still get episodes though, so know how you are feeling. Move around (gently) when you can...sometimes lying in bed for long periods makes it worse. If you lie on your side, put a cushion or pillow between your knees...it helps to keep your spine straight and relieves pressure on the discs and spasms in the muscles. Hope it soon improves! Dee x |

So sorry to hear about your back pain Donna. I do sympathize Get a hot water bottle on it and rest, but move about now and again or you might seize up completely. A massage might help too. Take care sweetheart Caz ((((hugs)))) |
