I hate to say this but with some men consider showing emotions as a sign of weakness. Personally I think it is far better to get things out whatever sex you are as bottling things up can lead to all sorts of problems. LIn x |

Hi Roxanne :):) Your OH sounds like a great guy and it shows a real closeness to be able to share those emotions :) An example of men and emotions could quite easy be one for me last year. My daughter's wedding :) My son in law is in the building trades. The reception had about 100 builders there :) Dad had to do his speech, Everytime I started to write it I found I got emotional :) Everytime I read it out to myself I got emotional :) How was I going to stand up in front of 100 builders and read this speech lol I managed to read/blurt it out but most of those 100 builders were left with tears in their eyes it was an amazing day for us all :):) Colin :):) |

Hi Colin:-)) I think its very healthy for men to cry and show emotion, Ive seen myO.H show emotion at sad things and at happy things too. It just makes me love him more. Roxanne x |

Hi Roxanne :) Believe me men do cry or get very emotional at times. Did I admit that. In seriousness though I am a pretty emotional sort of guy when it comes to sad things or things that make me proud etc Even known to carry a hankey in my pocket. I will never forget the day my first was born I cried on and off for a day and a half and even now thinking back im off again, one of those happy thought moments :):) Ok come on you guys were all male but we can admit it :):) Colin :):) |

The only men I've seen cry are my granddad, dad and bro. Granddad cried at his Uncles funarel Dad cried at his parents cremations Bro cried when the football hit him in the never regions and when his fish died (ok he was only 8 when the fish died) I do wish men would be more open about their feelings - tears are better out than in, take it from an ex-pro at holding them in. |

Hi sheila, No its not strange,I know women too who dont find it easy to talk about their emotions. I agree, sometimes men are better to talk to. |

It's not just a 'man thing' - I find it difficult to talk about emotions - strangely, perhaps, I often find it easier to talk to men than women! |

I think men are not genetically disposed towards showing emotions, Roxanne, and women are. Something to do with men being the hunter and having to show no fear or the animal would smell it. Wow! I have just thought of this all on my very own! lol BC XX |

I do agree with you here Roxanne .Young men especially seem to hold back and become with drawn. Older men like my OH tell you how they are feeling in great detail.. |
